Patricia Ryan Madson is the author of Improv Wisdom and has been teaching for four decades. On the Stanford University drama faculty since 1977, she also taught regularly at the Esalen Institute. Her corporate clients include Google, Apple, Gap Inc.’s Corporate Leadership Team, Sun Microsystems and Adobe. In the kitchen, she is of a ferociously exploratory bent and, as a baker especially, can hold her own against the fiercest of creative culinary talents.
JD Hixson made some music and read lots of books to earn Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from The Juilliard School. He now makes things on the beach whenever possible, curates knowledge and designs learning experiences for a living. He sees music, expression and creative potential in everything all around him, and delights in sharing this with others, including the neighbor’s cat, tropical fish in the waters of Okinawa and at places like the National Arts Marketing Conference, The Roundabout Theatre, Alvin Ailey Dance Company, NYU, Cisco, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, The National Cancer Center of Japan, Australia Council for the Arts and Creative New Zealand.
